Butterfly - Reviews

Scott Nicol, a South Ayrshire based singer and songwriter with musical tendrils that stretch far and wide, is also a teacher and musical mentor to youngsters and music students through his excellent Possibility Screams project.

One of Scott Nicol’s most recent and life affirming musical assistances came in March when he met Eileen Dong in Houston, Texas.
Her story of, and compassion for, victims of abuse and trafficking made a not insignificant mark on Scott, who was also impressed by her non-profit organisation Hope PYX Global.

When Scott returned home to Scotland he decided to write a song based on Eileen’s story (Eileen sent Scott her testimony about being a survivor of domestic abuse).
Scott edited her words into the song 'Butterfly,' which has now been recorded with lead vocals from Charlotte Rutter and backing vocals by Unoma Okudo.

The song, which you can hear streaming on the home page of http://www.fabricationshq.com/ can be purchased as an MP3 download from Amazon UK; link to iTunes and Spotify versions here: https://www.scottnicol.us/butterfly

While the lyric is the poignant heart of the song 'Butterfly' is also a lovely little Americana tinged pop number that, given the right exposure and promotion, would be on mainstream radio and contending for airplay as a BBC Radio 2 song of the week.
