Coffee - live at HMV

I had the privilege of playing all the songs from my ‘Coffee’ album live at HMV Ayr on the 4th of February 2023 with this beautiful band of musicians - Karen Henderson (violin), Lorraine Handling (Vocals), Ian Matchett (Bass/Guitar), Brain Smith (Drums). Check out my album page www.scottnicol.us/coffee

We added one song at the end ‘Summertime’ which I wrote with Hannah MacDonald. The guys were just great.

I invited some guests and wanted the day to showcase local talent performing original material. I want to thank HMV for allowing us and want to thank the brilliant Brian Kyles for filming it all and producing this teaser video of the day.

Next up was Lorraine Handling who stunned us with her powerful vocals and songs… check out her debut album ‘The Tide’s Gonna Turn’.

Katee Kross and Ross David Barron effortlessly entertained us with beautiful country tinged songs that befits her winning UK Country album of the year 2021.

Katee and Ross had two artists who attend the songwriting workshops at their Ayr School of Music perform songs they had written at the workshops. Rona Bryden and Ellie Anderson. Two young superstars of the future who were just wonderful.

Scarlett O’Sullivan also sang two songs and thrilled the crowd with a maturity in her voice that belies her age.

Debbie Campbell always brings the life with her presence and on this day she also brought two beautiful original songs.

Last but not least was Shayla Belle Bletsoe, who sang a lovely rendition of ’13 tears’ and ‘Love in the Hurricane‘.

Thanks to HMV, Brian Kyles and everyone who came, cheered us on and sang and played… enjoy the video/pics and check out the ‘Coffee’ album please.
